Arlington’s seniors and low income residents need protection from the higher taxes caused by the multiple overrides that were necessary to support our schools.  I promise to advocate for:

• expanded property tax exemptions and discounts to low income families and individuals

• increased affordable housing earmarks for new developments 

• increased/expanded home- and condo-buying opportunities and programs for low and modest income families, teachers and individuals

• increased commercial development to reduce residents' tax burden and expand student internship/job opportunities

• the establishment of a Fair Housing Commission or Committee.

• programs that enable all residents to benefit from the new high school such as indoor track time for walkers and access to space for meetings and functions
